Darshan Academy, Devlali, celebrated Ashadhi Ekadashi with great fervour. The special assembly highlighted the significance of this festival, inspiring students to imbibe the values of faith, humility, gratitude, and selfless service.
The programme commenced with a prayer, after which the principal and teachers offered flowers to Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmai, seeking blessings for the entire school community. This was followed by an informative speech explaining the importance of Ashadhi Ekadashi and the Warkari tradition. A soulful Abhanga was beautifully rendered by teachers, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere.
The celebration also featured a vibrant Dindi procession, in which students dressed as Warkaris, Lord Vitthal, and Goddess Rukmai and participated with great enthusiasm, chanting devotional hymns and reflecting the true spirit of the Warkari tradition. A graceful cultural dance based on the festival theme added colour and joy to the occasion and was appreciated by everyone present. The programme left students, teachers, and staff enriched and encouraged everyone to practice kindness and unity in their daily lives.
