Might Lord Vithala bless you and your loved ones on the auspicious event of Ashadi Ekadashi!
Darshan Academy, Devlali, celebrated Ashadi Ekadashi on June 29, 2023, with much pomp and show. After the lamp lighting of the deities, Lord Vithal and Goddess Rukhamani, a special assembly was organized by 8th-grade students. Children came dressed in colourful costumes depicting the traditional Varkari outfits where boys wore Kurta and Dhoti, and girls were seen beaming in typical Maharastrian Navvari Sarees. To build up the atmosphere, various cultural activities were organized. Students danced to the tunes of the devotional melodies of Lord Vithal, and soul-soothing Abhangha was sung by the students. A beautifully decorated Palki was carried out, followed by a procession called Dindi by the students who chanted and charted the holy names of Lord Vithal. The programme ended with blissful blessings from the rain gods, who happily showered blessings in the form of showers.
