Founder Chairman of Darshan Education Foundation, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, accompanied by Mata Rita Ji attended the Annual Day celebrations of Darshan Academy, Devlali. The event celebrated the school’s silver jubilee, on October 13, 2023. The venue was decorated with a colourful floral display. The inspiring theme of the cultural program was “From Pieces to Peace.” The large audience was greeted with a delightful welcome dance. Ms Urmila Sharma, Principal of Darshan Academy, Devlali gave a report highlighting the activities and achievements of students over the last few years. Two alumni shared how the holistic education they received at Darshan Academy, Devlali has helped them in their lives after graduation. Maharaj Ji and Mata Rita Ji then released the Darshan Academy magazine, Darshanika 2023.
The cultural program began with a resounding musical performance by the students through a choir and various traditional and modern instruments, and garnered generous applause from the audience. A music and dance performance to showcase the importance of taking care of the planet and making environment-friendly choices followed. Then a creative rendition by the students of verses from the poetry of Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj, focused on the message of peace. The cultural program ended with the Darshan Academy theme song and students performing impressive yoga skills. In his address to the audience, parents, students and staff of Darshan Academy, Devlali, Maharaj Ji expressed his joy to be present in Devlali for the school’s 25th anniversary. Peaceful individuals make for a peaceful community in which everyone can live in peace, joy, and harmony. Thus, peaceful individual pieces come together to build a world of peace, said Maharaj Ji. The beautiful program ended with group photos and a vote of thanks.
