Ruskin Bond Week Celebration

Darshan Academy, Devlali, celebrated Ruskin Bond Week with great enthusiasm and creativity. Students from Grades III to VIII presented a variety of engaging activities such as reading sessions of  Ruskin Bond stories, and presentations and discussions on the themes and characters. Students also used their creative talents to design cover pages.
The presentations brought to life several of his popular stories, such as: Animals in the House, The Tunnel, The Day Grandfather Tickled a Tiger, The Blue Umbrella, Angry River, The Hidden Pool and The Great Train Journey. Each performance reflected the students deep understanding and love for Ruskin Bond’s writings, highlighting his simple yet powerful storytelling style.
The celebration not only showcased the literary talents of the students but also encouraged them to develop healthy reading habits and say “No” to gadgets and “Yes” to reading more books, realizing that stories open the doors of imagination far better than screens. The event was a delightful and enriching experience and spread the message that books are our best friends.
