On January 6, 2026, Darshan Academy, Devlali, in association with the Inner Wheel Club of Devlali, organized a self-defense session to empower young girls with the skills and confidence to ensure their personal safety. The event, hosted at Darshan Academy, was also attended by students from Dr Subhash Gujar High School and Cantonment School, Devlali. The workshop specifically targeted girls from grades VIII to X, a crucial age group for developing self-awareness and physical resilience.
The highlights of the day were the live demonstrations led by expert trainers, Amol Sarangdhar Sir and Vinay Mastud Sir. They focused on “Street Smart” defense, emphasizing that self-defense is more about technique and presence of mind than raw strength. The students left the session feeling more empowered and equipped with life-saving skills.
