Visit to the Railway Station

“Learning becomes meaningful when children experience the world around them.

Darshan Academy, Devlali, organised a visit to the railway station on  November 17, 2025, for LKG and UKG students. The aim of the visit was to help the children observe the railway station in operation and understand the importance of rail transport. At the station, the children noticed ticket counters, waiting rooms, food stalls, platforms, and signboards guiding passengers. They listened to announcements about train arrivals and departures and observed the busy movement of people on the platforms. A goods train and a passenger train passed by during the visit, allowing the children to see the engine, coaches, the guard’s compartment, and the signal lights up close. The railway staff explained their duties and emphasized safety rules such as standing behind the yellow line and never crossing the tracks. The visit was both informative and enjoyable. It offered valuable real-life learning and helped the children connect classroom knowledge with practical observation.
