To foster leadership qualities, instill a sense of responsibility and familiarize students with the democratic process, Darshan Academy, Devlali, conducted a student council election for the academic session 2026-27 on June 16, 2026. The election provided a platform for students to exercise their franchise and elect representatives who will serve as the bridge between the student body and the school administration. The electoral process commenced in April with the release of the official nomination forms. Nominations were invited for key council positions, including Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain, and House Captains. All received applications underwent a rigorous scrutiny process. Shortlisted candidates were then officially announced during the morning assembly. The shortlisted candidates were allowed to present their election manifestos.
The final voting took place under the strict supervision of the teaching staff. To simulate a real-world democratic process, confidential polling booths were set up. Students from Grade III onwards were eligible to cast their votes. The use of a streamlined voting system ensured that the polling was conducted smoothly and efficiently, without disrupting the regular academic schedule. The newly elected Student Council members will officially take their oaths and receive their badges during the upcoming Investiture Ceremony.
